Leaders Zone - v1! So I created a version of the leaders zone very quickly for a quick version mockup! My session started off with taking the style.css of the home page, duplicating it to leaders.css and examples.css - and adding 2 tags to leader-zone.html and example.html to make them have fancy coming soon pages! Once I committed that, I got to work, and copied over the #top section of the main page to leaders! I set the height of the top section to 50vh, then moved the logo, removed the slack link, deleted two buttons, edited the button to be a return to home page, moved the button, edited the text and the sizing of the text to be more fitting for a leaders zone, and tested it all! Once saved, I created a new section from scratch, but used the existing css #requirements, because I copied over the CSS file - remember! This is fine, but way too big so that will be something to fix next time! I then went over to https://vibes.hackclub.com/ to get some inspiration on what a leaders zone page should have, then created two div sections, which I think were called ‘leaders-content’ (note to self - need to style those in the future), added some basic text, then another bit for our presentation, and copied over the button. With this button I had immense pain, because I forgot an = sign…… But its fixed and currently just opens https://canva.com/ because I haven’t made the guide yet….. I added some paragraph text and thats it!

v1 :yayayayayay: - So finally we have v1 of the Bento YSWS website! I created the pages, with some gradients to split the site up into different sections! After scrolling down you see all the different pieces of info, the main requirements, the bonus things you can do and a basic FAQ! It has credits to our sponsor, Jared, and the other organiser, Freddie! I also made the logo using the guide from anchor.hackclub.com and got some feedback from others, like making the flag be able to move (this was an AI implemented feature). I also added a blank leaders zone page, and a button to open the clubs platform workshop page. There is another ‘disabled’ button for individuals submitting their projects - but we are not live yet, so that is why it is disabled. For things @freddie implemented - he cleaned up some wording, added more ‘checklists’ to help Hack Clubbers go through the process of signing up to the workshop as a leader, or member or even as an individuals. He also added the basic HTML head, and a ‘coming soon’ part to the leaders zone! Not only this, he adjusted some of the FAQ and added a link to our slack channel. The reason I am noting what @freddie has done - is so that reviewers can distinguish between the changes / parts that I have made, and changes that Freddie have made. Quick Fire round: Links to users on slack in the footer, checklists to help hack clubbers create their projects, a font from google fonts (pretty cool font if you ask me), icons styled for different sections of the site, no javascript. FYI - the screenshots attached are of the site BEFORE Freddie’s changes.
