Today has been a great day for my personal portfolio so far. I got a nice domain for my portfolio, tyler.is-a.dev. I made the pull request last night, but I made it work today, after it was accepted. I also made a basic About section in my portfolio, focusing on my timeline of coding and some other hobbies I do. I plan to expand on my About section and possibly start the Projects section today. I may also write an X post about my portfolio in the next couple of days.

In the 1 hour and 56 minutes of making this project, I converted a blank slate of mind and code into a basic portfolio website that actually looks pretty good, and got a nice Cloudflare Pages domain (tyler-n.pages.dev). At the start, I was thinking “Portfolios have to be perfect! I can’t make it! What if the geometry is off! What if it’s not a perfect portfolio like I’ve seen before, with a bunch of intricate and small details!” But, as I started making it, I realized that all that matters is the final product. The people with those awesome personal portfolio websites always start somewhere. No one will be scrutinizing your commit history to say things like “This person didn’t have a completely functional, beautiful website on his first commit!” I am planning on filling in the About page and the Projects page the next time I work on this.
