I have built an interactive way to learn the basics of the linux terminal, all without requiring you to install a VM, Distro or terminal emulator, it all happens from your browser.
Wrote the documentation, fixed any file path errors in my code leading to depecrated or non-existent files and launched it as a demo on Github, you can try it at: “https://maxye4655.github.io/LinuxLearnSite/pages/Homepage.html”
Finished the content for lesson 6, and updated the quiz and lesson teacking feature.
Wrote the content for lesson 5, finished the LessonLanding page and updated the terminal javascript for hopefully the last time.
I started and finished working on Lesson 5, added emulated ping command, Ip command, curl command and scp command.
Found a massive bug in my terminal code, the virtual file-system’s directory layout wouldn’t register when using ls, grep or any other file related commands, I had to completely rewrite the file-system and it now works.
Finished Lesson 4, made the file for lesson 5. Just 2 more to go until I ship. Cleaned up some files.
Finished Lesson 3, added more commands to the terminal Sim, and created the file for lesson 4. I still have to update LessonLanding.HTML to add Lessons 3 and 4. I’m planning to do my first ship after I finish lesson 6. I also want to optimise the SVG filter.
Added Quiz Categories, and styled the quiz function. Next I will finish adding all the topics.
Added a Quiz Yourself function. Fixed my Hackatime Config. Next I’ll work on styling the quiz as currently only the text and button are styled.
Created Lesson 2 and expanded the virtual terminal logic.
Finished the first lesson, next, I will either begin work on the next few lessons or a “Quiz yourself” function

I added more content to lesson 1, as well as added a progress bar and “Next section “ button.

Began Working on the lessons page, I’ve decided to start with 6 lessons but might expand it later.

I made the SVG HTML filter use a smaller file string, Improving performance while keeping the visuals the same.
Began work on the continuation of a project I started before this competition began, in the time recorded in this Devlog I added the termianl emulator (Not fully complete) into my website.
The premise of the website is to allow windows/mac users to get familiar with basic Linux commands through interactive lessons before they hopefully make the full time switch to Linux.
