Started on making the case for the picopod. I just physically for some reason can’t get the hang of complex 3d modelling software like freeCAD, or fusion, so I have used TinkerCAD. Spent about 6 hours on this so far, having to relearn this from about 5 years ago. Will produce the top, and buttons later.
Completed the PCB for my “PicoPod”, and learnt CircuitPython. I then created a simple Ipod style GUI (Its mainly UI for now, with a few buttons working. I made the RotaryEnc control the volume, and clicking in the encoder mute/unmute. I made the vertical buttons go up and down, and the horizontal buttons to select, or go back. I cannot test the SD card slot on WOWKI, but am using a pre-existing library, so hope it all works. Will next work on the settings menu, and bluetooth menu to connect to bluetooth devices.
Starting my small project to recreate my own DIY ipod. I have learnt KiCAD and designed my own PCB, and got a list of parts on sites like amazon to solder onto the PCB. I did spend 6 hours designing the pcb but I didnt realise I had to record, so I have no proof. 😭 Oh well, will have to grind harder.
