Devlog-2

The puppy was counting every single play and pause as a shorts watch instance start timer. I debugged the code to make sure that every single new instance of opening a session is what starts the countdown timer. I also tried to make the menu more beautiful and create a tray popup that allows me to modify the settings.

Devlog-1 : The first run !

So I am trying to create a puppy that sits on top of your OS and then can act as a Chrome extension and stop all doomscrolling session. For version 1 the idea is simple. If the tab or desktop app is open , the puppy detects that you are watching reels or youtube shorts and it goes and closes your window for you automatically if the timelimit is exceeded.

For future versions we can have a cooldown time before the app or link is allowed to be opened again or a cooldown time before the app can be closed. Anyway I’ve completed the basic code and the dog appears on the screen. It’s late in the night , I’ll do more testing and check to see if the functionality works more extensively tomorrow. For now the dog is visible in the right corner of the screen - Success ! ( for now ) lol :).
