Firstly, I rewrote my bio to sound more like me and a little better. Then, according to the reviewer, I rewrote the entire CSS, and it took a long time. I kept more or less the same old spacing, but changed the pfp of the Hero section, and also changed the photo for the IB school, cause the previous one was AI generated. Also made the navbar look nicer with some custom styles, which took the longest. Also added a nice orange shadow on hover, and made most of the text white instead of slate to be more readable. I also modified the ProjectCard component so I can make sure there’s not github link placeholder hanging for projects I did when I was younger and didn’t use Github - just a simple if/else statement that prints “Check Out Github” if I pass in the repo variable to true, and just disappears if false. Should be ready for resubmission now.

Overall, the project looks decent, but it seems like you may have used an extensive amount of ai in your css and includes an ai image which we do not allow. Please fix these details before resubmitting. (Also to your point on ai being good at front end styling, I've found that a lot of people are pretty good with noticing when the styling was done by ai, and they typically don't like how it looks. I was able to see that the css was written by an ai before even reading your ai declaration so I'm not sure if it's quite there with its styling abilities as of right now. Anyhow, it's a lot cooler seeing people come up with their own designs and such, even if it doesn't turn out the best.)

Today, I finally added all, or most of my projects, to the portfolio website. I really just collected images from my previous projects, and uploaded them to the folders and used my custom ProjectCard React component to use them in the website.

I made a personal website for myself that I was procrastinating for a long time, and one struggle I had was to choose between whether to go with standard React, or learn NextJS to do this one. I ended up going with React as I’m a bit busy at the moment, and I wanted to get it out of the way, and did it with React, and now it’ll be my portfolio for all my hardware projects. I wrote the entirety of the html and React myself, then I took help from ChatGPT to do the styling, as AI is better for front-end anyways. Anyways, I also made the navbar at the top point the user to the various sections of the website, and I believe it was a great learning experience for me, leaving with a personal website for me.

In the last 30 minutes before I go to bed, I made some more small design changes to make the website for astronomical and futuristic and a overall good design. Firstly I added a proper nebula background that adds a nice touch to it, and I also made the links to my contact icons from W3Schools, and I also made the navbar buttons send the user to different sections when they click it. I haven’t added any projects yet, but the point was to make a personal website, and its done.

Today I finished up the main part of the website, which was styling. I put this for last as I figured it’d be easier to add the components first, and then style them. I was having trouble putting one of the div on the center of the screen, but then I realized the css property on the outer div was forcing it, and so I fixed it. It looks kind of good right now. I’ll add more things later, but this is it for now.

I finished adding my personal education section and also the projects section. I have to do more work on the projects section and adding my portfolio and all, and I’m thinking of writing a different functional react component separately that I can pass in a description and image to make my project card, but we’ll see. For now it has my social media links, and my education. I haven’t done much styling yet, I’ll add all the animations in the end.

I started working on the website for my project. I decided to use ReactJS for this, and I started by making 2 components for the Navbar and the hero section. Overall, it’s going alright. I’ll post more updates soon. I did this on a different project folder, before I setup hackatime properly, and so my timestamp is gone. I worked on this for ~1hr 40 mins.
