"A Much Better Roon Alternative" — AMBRA is a free and open-source cross-platform music player made for people who care about the quality of their music and want control over it. We mainly modeled it after Roon, but we were very unhappy with its egregious pricing and lack of transparency, so we decided to build our own and make it completely free. We're also putting in some of our own features, having experienced common music player shortcomings firsthand as users.

Huge update to AMBRA!

This update lays more of the foundation for a full-featured music player. Once the basic features are done, all the cool stuff can start making its way in.

All major changes:

- Added persistent, editable playlists with sidebar navigation
- Added play/shuffle (so far, there's more to come in the way of playing) for library and playlists
- Overhauled the library with separate pages for tracks, artists, and albums
- Improved search for better ranking and filtering
- Added playback restoration (being able to close the app and be in the same spot in the song)
- Added a super basic (and unstyled lol, pretty obviously no CSS) audio output switcher

Improved search to work across all services, working on UI improvements because it looks ugly (plus a small showcase of what the app looks like since it’s my first devlog)
