I made the first version of the Block Reality website today. I started with Mimo and some HTML/CSS tutorials, then went back to the site and changed the structure, spacing, and styling myself. I finally understand the basic relationship: HTML decides what is on the page, and CSS decides how it looks, so I can now make simple pages and edits without relying on generated code for everything. The JavaScript visual effects were generated with Gemini; JS is still outside my current skill level, while I integrated and tested the result. The site and this first devlog are now online: https://rocky59487.github.io/block-reality-site/ Next I want to improve the mobile layout and learn enough JavaScript to change the effects myself.
