PhantomVault is a local-first digital vault for securely storing private notes, passwords, and secrets. It is designed to keep user data on-device without requiring accounts or servers, while exploring local storage, JavaScript, and client-side encryption.

Ship #1 Pending review

Phantom Vault is a local file vault I built with HTML, CSS and JavaScript. It lets you upload files, encrypt them and store them locally in your browser instead of sending them to a server.

It uses the Web Crypto API for encryption and IndexedDB for local storage. You can lock and unlock the vault, open your encrypted files, delete them, or completely reset the vault if you forget your passkey.

This is mainly a learning project where I wanted to understand how encryption, browser storage and JavaScript actually work by building something myself.
