I made a DIY Custom Mouse from scratch using a PMW3389 sensor and an Arduino Pro Micro AtMega32u4. There aren’t many similar projects to help understand how to interface with the sensor.

This is my first electronics project and I am proud that I have managed to complete this with no prior skills or experience. I have learned a lot from this project; PCB design, soldering, Arduino and library coding.

If you want to test the project, you must be good at small surface mount component soldering (the resistors and capacitors are 0805). There is instructions on the readme to build the mouse. Feel free to message me on slack if you have any questions or need help with anything (@sharcc).

Current issues:

No shell
Mouse switches are backwards or they wont work
Lens has trouble fitting.
Scroll wheel is awkward to use

Mouse V1 PCB and firmware!! PCB V1 - Designed, ordered, hand-soldered and validated. Firmware - Developed original library to interface with the PMW3389 and send mouse HID.
