TapPad speeds up annoying tasks. You can use the keys to assign custom macros on your device or use the rotary switch to control media. It also has a customizable 0.91 inch OLED display and a LED indicator.

The project is Shipped!! I added spaces and holes for the overlapping display and rotary. It is a bit congested but it works. Let’s hope for the best now.
Today I was trying to assemble all the components, then I realised that the lid of my case is not right since the placement of all holes did not match with the PCB. I redesigned the case and assembled it again. Now the rotary switch and OLED display are too tall and overlap with the lid. Tomorrow I will fix this by extruding the lid and making more space for OLED and rotary, after that assembly should be completed (I hope so). This is what it is for now, overlapping rotary and OLED
Another change in the design was use of magnets instead of screws since I don’t have enough space for a 3D printable screw. (I am pretty sure that I am allowed to do so as long as I arrange the magnets myself. Someone pls confirm if I am allowed to use magnets or will my project be rejected)
I have made the firmware and have given some finishing touches to the case. Making the firmware was a bit confusing, but with a little bit of help from internet and AI, I managed to make the firmware
TapPad will not only be a macro pad but at also a media controller through the rotary switch, as well as a status indicator through the customizable OLED display.
Made the 3d model. Started off by learning the basics of fusion and made my way through making the 3d model
Finished with the pcb, had to restart multiple times while routing and had to take help of free routing to route all the connections on my PCB
Starting off with my “Tap Pad”. This is a programmable keypad which makes repetitive tasks easier. It will make tasks like going deep into one spceific folder, finding one specifc exe file and then running it easier with just a tap on the “Tap Pad”. Or use it with OBS with different setups for different kinds of recording and many more tasks can be simplified with it….
