PCB Routing and Completion of the Final Project
Today, I have completed the final step in my PCB design project PCB routing and finalization.
First of all, I had to choose the PCB layer stack-up. At first, I wanted to use fewer layers; however, considering that the components were distributed across the whole board and the routing was getting too complicated, I decided to use an 8-layer PCB. The 6-layer PCB was not enough to route everything well. I made the required configuration of outer and inner layers in order to have enough space for routing and connections.
After the layer stack up configuration, I proceeded with PCB routing and connecting all the components. This step became one of the most crucial steps of the project since all the connections should be made according to the design rules and be correct.
When I routed and connected the components, I proceeded to the DRC and corrected all the errors that I received during the check.
After correcting the errors, I made the last adjustments to the PCB, adding graphics and visual elements.
Now the PCB design is complete.
Status: Project Completed
In today’s session, I have been working on the layout of the PCB. I have added all components to their respective locations within the board ensuring that the placement aligns with the design logic of the entire layout and not just a random addition.
While doing so, I have made some adjustments in some of the design rules based on the placement of the components on the board.
In addition to component placement, I have been working on the proper arrangement of all components on the board – arranging similar components together and arranging signals in a logical manner while labeling/naming them in an organized manner.

Tomorrow will be the day when I will route the connection of all components.

Today’s Progress
After completing the B2-STEALTH-FC project, I continued with the rest of the schematic and PCB designs. Since this project has been ongoing for some time now, today was all about connecting the remaining sections and preparing the design for the PCB phase.
I finished connecting the rest of the connectors such as the UART, ESC, final connectors, among others. I also included the mounting holes and finished the GYRO sensor section as well as the supporting connectors.
Once the schematic was done, I proceeded to create the PCB. I imported the schematic onto the PCB and started laying out the components and connections. I defined the board outline and the major board sections such as the USB-C interface and other critical sections.
The main structure of the board is done and the PCB design looks more like the actual flight controller PCB.
Today’s Work
Finished the remaining schematic connections.
Included the UART connector.
Connected the ESC.
Connected the rest of the interfaces.
Mounted the holes.
Included the GYRO sensor section.
Completed the supporting connectors.
Imported the schematic into the PCB layout.
Laid out the components and connections.
Included the USB-C interface and started defining the board outline.
Status: Schematic done and PCB layout started.
Next: Finish the PCB layout.
Today I continued working on the flight controller schematic. I completed and organized the main sections including the 3.3V regulator, decoupling capacitors, boot switch, and pinout connections for the ESC, camera, VTX, receiver, and power.
The core concepts and schematic structure are now in place. I’ll continue building on this and later integrate the motor, ESC, sensors, and remaining flight-control components. Still working on the overall design and refining the connections.
Day 1. Flight Controller PCB Design
To day, I have been working on the B2-Stelth-FC design and got to the stage of completing the schematic modules.
In particular, today, I have worked on the filtered flight-controller power section with BEC 9V 2A and BEC 5V 2A, power filtering, and the corresponding connections to the flight-controller electronics. Moreover, the USB-C port, oscillator, flash, I2C pull-ups, VBAT detection, buzzer, status LEDs were added to the B2-Stealth-FC.
ESC and power pinout, and the mounting/connection areas were worked out. The main goal of today’s work was to finalize the flight controller’s main circuit diagram and make sure that the power and signal circuits are properly separated.
Thus, it can be concluded that today, I have made the B2-Stelth-FC design to the stage of the key hardware blocks’ creation, which will be followed by the layout design and actual PCB layouting and testing procedures.
