KiraOS - Stardance

Ship #1

I built KiraOS, a simple personal operating system with apps like Kira Notes, image viewer (Owl Print), and Kira Paint. The hardest part was making the paint app work with different grid sizes while keeping the pixels square and inside the drawing area. I’m proud that I built everything from scratch and added features like drawing by clicking or dragging and saving drawings as PNGs. To test it, open Kira Paint, choose a grid size, and try drawing across the pixels.

Today I added Kira Paint app - a simple pixel editor. It has a pixel-based area where each square can be colored by clicking or holding the mouse. There’re also controls to pick the color or choose the grid size. Then just added a button to download your masterpiece as PNG.

Today I created my first KiraOS apps - image viewer and simple notes app. I added desktop icons, separate windows, and basic open, close, move, and selection features to both apps.

I made my app more interactive by making the window draggable and adding a handle for moving. I also added buttons to open and close the window.

Today I worked on my web OS app by adding background, window, and top bar. I tried a different look from the example by adding logo and stylish 2-line clock.
