oof i haven’t devlogged at all this project… yikes bro. (i was too busy coding lolz)
anyways…

i built this adorable site where you can customize a cake (with flavor, icing color, decorations, fruits, and a candle!) and write a card, and get a custom link that you can send to anyone you want to!

i used Supabase as the database for this, and drew all of the assets myself (as in ALL… including the plate and the animated candle flame!). the checkered background (the idea was from a friend!), I made using CSS so I can play with the size of the boxes and the colors until I found one combo that I liked.

through this project I learned more about using the useState feature in React, connecting databases to projects I make, and that drawing for hours at a time can lead to neck pain.
