My own personal new tab page that is jam-packed full of features

I made SolarTab, a custom new tab page focused around NASA’s astronomy picture of the day. It has many features such as an ISS locator, recent space news, calendar, to-do list, weather, and recent searches. The most challenging part of this was making the widgets as some of them were like a project of their own. I am most proud of the UI as it is easily customizable and has a nice blurry transparency effect to it. You can try my project now using the Try project button below!

I made the spacing between elements match up and just made overall polishing changes such as moving the date to the center, a settings screen to customize dark/light mode and accent color.

I added the icons to the search engine selection as well as the ability to add your own search engine as well. I also added quick links and the ability to edit, delete, and move them around. At the bottom, there is now also a title and description for the backgrond image which you can select which day as well. I added more widgets such as space news, recent searches, and ISS tracker where you can customize the location of these widgets

Added the date to the top left corner as well as a I’m feeling lucky button inspired from Google. I also added widgets that show the calendar, weather, and a todolist.

I made the background picture be the astronomy picture of the day and also added a clock and added options to choose between what search engine you want and also the functionality of searching
