A Minecraft plugin to make all kinds of FFAs!

Ship #1 Pending review

Minecraft FFA Plugin

This is a Minecraft FFA plugin designed to make it easy to create and manage arenas where players can fight each other.

The plugin comes with a variety of configurable options, including things like:

  • Block-breaking permissions
  • Arena regeneration times
  • Arena-specific settings
  • And other options to help customize how each arena works

The goal was to keep the plugin as simple and minimal as possible. You can use it as the foundation for a complete FFA server, similar to servers like Stray.gg, especially when combined with NPC plugins and other server-side tools.

I intentionally kept the plugin lightweight and didn’t add things like custom death messages. The idea is to provide the core functionality without adding unnecessary features or complexity.

Requirements

  • Server software: Paper 1.21.11
  • Java: Java 25 recommended

You can get Paper from the official website: PaperMC

Java versions lower than 25 should work in theory, although Java 25 is the version I personally use and recommend.

Don’t want to set up a server? Watch this video!

Yes I also hate AI, but I wanted to make this as easy to read and understand as possible. Unlike other people, I actually read the stuff it gave me.

Added Combat System, Warps and Item Dropping option!

The latest version includes a combat system. Here’s how it works:

If a user is in an arena and attacks/is attacked by another player, they
get tagged and cannot log on until it expires. The tag gets set to
30 seconds by default.
This helps prevent combat logging, which is basically leaving from a
fight to save your K/D ratio or items. If you log off while tagged,
you die.

Drop option

You can now enable or disable if items should be dropped after death.

Warps

Users can now type /warp to warp to an arena. They cannot do that in combat to prevent combat logging.

Added arena system!

An arena system has been added that allows you to make arenas with:

  • Block Break/Place permissions
  • Block decay time
  • Explosion Damage/Block breaking
  • Map regeneration time

When creating the arena, you need to select 2 points with a wand you get from the /selection-wand command. Then, you can type the /add-arena <name> command, that opens the menu you can view in the first picture.
When you are done configuring the arena, you can click the Confirm button which saves the map as a schematic and creates the arena.

If you want to edit the map, or you simply just want to regenerate it, you can enter the /arenas <name> command, which brings up the menu seen in the third image, or you can just simply type /arenas to open the menu seen in the second image, where you can browse the arenas.

When editing an arena, currently you can only reset it, delete it and rename it. In a future update, I’ll add the other settings too.

If you are wondering, yes this was written by me. I just use a frick ton of markdown, and like to format my messages. AI wasn’t used in this message at all.

Still creating stuff, don’t worry! A big devlog will be created soon of how stuff works. I am just creating an arena system and don’t want to lose hours on it.
