Okay so improved the Products page added option to add test order and also improved settings page and fixed few bugs like our little sun was coming over the notification bell in mobile view
The old UI was looking super dry and clunky, so I ended up spending most of today completely redoing the styling and making it actually fun to use.Went for a warm, clean palette (forest greens + light sky blue and a bright sun), fixed up the mobile sidebar, and made the whole layout feel cohesive instead of just random boxes on a screen.Along with the design overhaul, I also added two cool fun features:
Quick Reply Macro Bar: In the inbox, you can now just click quick templates (like sending a 10% discount, sharing tracking, or saying you’re checking stock) to reply instantly without typing the same thing again and again.
Simulate Incoming Order Button: Added a test order button in the orders tab that drops in a random simulated customer order in real-time so I can test how new orders look on the dashboard.
Cleaned up all the messy JavaScript behind it too so the code is actually easy to read and work with.
Feels way better to click around now!
Spent the day tearing down the old dashboard UI and rebuilding it from the ground up as the old one was not liked by some :( and after redesigning the design was getting cluttered with duplicate mobile navbars, inconsistent headers, and weird nested border boxes everywhere—so I fixed it across every single page. Also made sure that site is still fully responsive and interactive using CSS and JavaScript wrote new lines of code to make the site more impressive also now you can click on notification bell and the profile avatar too and do try the website and make some changes in settings to see it work !!
Quick update on the dashboard. Spent the last session turning static UI mockups into a working, stateful app that actually saves changes across pages. Here’s what got done:
Sitewide Profile & Business Sync: Hooked up the Settings form to localStorage. Updating the owner name, business name, or email now instantly updates the navbar, sidebar, and profile.html across every page. Working Interactivity & Storage: Fixed order status toggles (Paid, Fulfilled) and inbox reply threads. Now you can also download invoice pdf [ though its not a real one ;) ]. Also created a business profile page. Website feels much more like a real web app now rather than a static prototype. Ready for review!
Fixed mobile responsiveness across all pages. Cleaned up Tailwind grid breaks, fixed text overflowing on smaller screens, and adjusted sidebar padding so it collapses cleanly on mobile. Prototype is officially done !!

Added sample call-conversation, made invoices and a demo settings page shell. Almost done with all the UI templates for the platform—just need to check for the responsiveness of the page and make UI enhancement and polish everything.
Added live search filtering across the site!! Using actual JavaScript instead of just Tailwind styling. Had to write two separate filter functions since the Inbox uses link cards while the other pages use tables anyway also built out product and calls page—need to add call-conversation and invoices next!
Built out the order details pages for orders #1240 and #1229. Got the customer info, order details, item breakdown, and status UI fully styled.
Finished inbox-conversation and orders page. Built out the chat interface, fed sample data, and made orders table layout. Next step is wiring up the products page.
Finished up inbox.html today. Added sample data, message list, status badges which the user will see while seeing the inbox of its business from multiple sources. Next will add some sample conversation and move on to orders section.
Just finished the basic layout for Commerce OS. Built the main dashboard shell, navigation and sidebar using Tailwind CSS. Now moving on to the inbox section. Excited to start this new journey!
