DEVLOG 5
i’m
tired.

One border image. One border image.
Took 2 hours (including looking at tutorials)
AND STILL. STILL. IT’S NOT RIGHT.
Now it’s just an image with a border 😭😭😭.

I just gave it a break in the end, I sent a message in stardance #help, feel free to reply there with ANYTHING that can help.

So instead I added a background image in the second page, connected the button to that page, and edited the fonts (again) for today.

So in the second page I’m gonna add some drawings of mine , with a ‘scrolling’ motion. And when the press the arrow after the last drawing they automatically go to the next page (which is a whole page dedicated to my favorite artists).

But I’m also thinking to add a calendar sort of thing on the front page.

But before that I REALLY need help in adding the border img thing.

DEVLOG 5:
Today I didn’t do much; my consistency is really off. Esp since school started. I only edited the button today, and it’s looking really neat now. I don’t have much on this devlog.

But one tip I heard (regarding the consistency thing) is to do your extracurriculars first, then schoolwork, cuz you’ll catch up with school in the end. It’s a bad and good idea at the same time; it matters how long you neglect school.

But I’d love some tips on how some of you maintain extracurriculars and school (esp if you’re doing O levels in South Asia).

DEVLOG 4:
Wassup peopleee
It’s been a while since I coded. But I’m Back. But I also really need to complete 30 hours for that certificate. (Don’t hate me)

I added 3 new images that ‘shake’ when you hover your mouse over them; they are the fav characters from my fav anime. Coding that was fun. Moreover, I added a new button and a new page where I will be adding my drawings!

But I REALLY need ideas on how to decorate the first page. I’m thinking of changing the fonts, for starters, and making the text bigger.

DEVLOG 3:

So from the last devlog , the two problems I ran into was stardance not displaying my time properly and getting an image to go smaller and adjust it in the corner left. I realized that hackatime was showing my total time and stardance was showing the time I had spent in that moment. So it wasn’t really an issue.

The other problem (the img not being adjusted,check out my devlog 2 to see it) was changed from making it a different format , I watched some yt tuts and asked AI for help,claude looks a lil bit better for this matter.

Once that was done I wanted to add another image on top to make it look like a concert, but the image would either not show or cover the 2nd image,which was really , REALLY frustrating. And claude wasn’t helping so I went to slack and I got help in like 10 secs. They explained the problem that since both imgs had the same px and img 2 had a higher index,it was covering it. I solved it by adjusting the px at the bottom,and got to sit how I wanted! (Spent like 2 hours on smthing that could’ve been fixed int 2 secs)

I also learned the proper order of saving the changes to my git hub repository ,which are, uhh. Nvm.

But heres the problem(again) I have no damn clue what to add on the first pg, SO HELP ME PPL. I NEED IDEAS.

DEVLOG: 2

Wassup gang, so this does not look like alot of work,and this looks kinda corny rn but trust me I HAVE A VISION, trust the process. I feel like I spent more time deciding images on pinterest lol.

WHAT EXACLTY DID I DO IN 1 HOUR AND 30 MINS?
Good question. So first of all , I figured out what’s the general mood of my website. Which led me to actually start coding. I first wanted to attach a background image but it kept on being difficult and didn’t fit the whole screen, kept coming out weird. So I decided to go with a solid background color and attach stickers instead. And I like the second idea better. But one problem I am running is that damn image.

Problem 1: The image.
I wanna make it smaller and at the bottom left of the page but it didn’t work. Tried asking AI for help but it looked like I was making better use of that water than GPT was despite being at my wits end (used it all for maths }B( )

Problem 2:
I don’t know why but hacktime says my coding time is 1 hour 23 mins but on the devlog it says 1 hour 6 mins. I had to refresh alot of times cuz at different times it would show the wrong time (less than the one on hackatime). Should I worry about this?

I plan to make a page about my interests and the third one about music only with some cool wiggly typa stickers? The ones that kinda shake all the time. If I make sense to you you’re special.

One thing I enjoyed about coding today that my playlist (which was on shuffle) suddenly went peak :D , there was silence and my feet were (still are) freezing off.

DEVLOG 1
Okay so after ALOT of confusion , I set up hackatime,connected my project and understood github repositories and solved ALOT of problems while setting this up. I wrote a few lines of code but I’d really love your guys opionion on good channels for CSS and html,cuz its my first time coding, and some inspiration and ideas for what sections should I add and how should I design it. I’ve been looking at other peoples websites but haven’t really found anything that sparked ideas in me.

I’m also very conflicted about how I should design it. I wanted to design it based on my aesthetics but they’re alot and very conflicting with eachother (most) so I’d love some ideas on how to manage those.
