A money managing app made with Expo!
A money managing app made with Expo!
#devvloggg 2
hi everyone! so this will be a relatively short devlog, and is LITERALLY a short amount of time spent coding but uh, please bear with me!
so in this devlog, i mostly just did cleanups like removing unused folders and files (like .claude/, AGENTS.md, etc. since for some reason they are included in create-expo-app)
the big change i did is that i started making the activity card and turning already existing parts in the home screen into their own separate components!
everything is hardcoded as i said previously butttt now that the basic-est of the basic layout is done, i can actually start on focusing on the functionality!
the universe said no
so uh my phone actually fell in water RIGHT before i wanted to start continuing development (i dont use an android emulator), so.. i guess… development is paused for 1 or 2 days… aha…
the screenshot below is what i screenshotted right before it fell in water.. whoops
hi everyone!! i took a somewhat long break because of school but im back now!! (hopefully) 🙏
this time around, i will be introducing my new project,
Okane
!
It’s a money managing app built with Expo, and I’m very excited to make this one because this will be the first time I’m doing Mobile Development, and it’ll also be the first app i have built that i actually plan to use every day!
so for this first devlog, i spent (too much) time setting up Expo, integrating NativeWind, learning the structure of an Expo app, and just getting the basic layout done. for now, everything is hardcoded while i wrap my head around React Native and figure out how i want the UI should look like, and im currently using my local currency at the moment but i plan to change that in the near future!
and thats about it!!! see you next devlog!!
