Devlog 5

Hey guys! After ship 2 I can see that you really like the project. In this devlog I fixed the path of the ISS and thats pretty much it. I don’t know what to add at this point, im running out of ideas tbh. Probably won’t be to active since im going on vacation soon.
Bye for now 👋!

ISS tracker updates!

The space station is still available on a 3D globe but more effects (day/night effects, clouds, atmosphere, moon, and starfield) along with the 2D map with camera modes and day/night switch.

I added: a loading screen, live orbital telemetry, ISS crew members, docked spacecraft, space weather by NOAA, caching and auto-reconnect for surviving bad connections and a completely new UI from the last ship. Vanilla JS, no frameworks, no backend.
Try it out: https://iss.akisarke.xyz or hit the “Try project” button below.

Also received a lot of feedback which I am grateful for. Some of them are implemented in the tracker itself. Feel free to give any other feedback.

See ya later! 👋

Devlog 4

Hi guys after I shipped the project you gave me some feedback such as adding an estimated path for the ISS and adding the NASA page and the ISS wikipedia, the estimated path might be buggy but I can’t fix it rn. Thank you for giving me such positive feedback and reviews!

🛰️Nothing much added, i just changed up the ui colors and the overall ui to make it more NASA themed (i used the NASA color pallete). Overall i think it’s a nice project of mine.

I made a live ISS tracker web app. It’s using HTML, CSS and JavaScript. The UI is kind of space themed. It is using APIs to get the coordinates and other cool stuff. The ISS can be on a 2D map or (if you like it) a 3D map. Check it out at https://iss.akisarke.xyz or click the “Try project” button below.

More at my site or at the repo

Waited a long time to make a devlog since i thought nest was down, ends up I think I screwed up the ssh connection and then got angry and hosted it at github pages

Also in future i will add a night/day mode and some other features if you suggest some. Let me know!

Bye! 👋
