I'm making an extension so i can scan website when i enter them, i wanted to make it for myself but why not document it in stardance! Try it out on firefox (firefox add-on) or chrome (github release)

I made a chrome/firefox extension that scans the website to check for any viruses. I had the most problems on the javascript but i managed to make it work. First i wanted to post the extesion to chrome and firefox marketplace but i have to wait weeks/months to get it approved. You will have to do extra steps to test it (sorry).

ITS REALEASE ON GITHUB AND FIREFOX

You can now check it out, the firefox one is still waiting for validation but you can try it on github. I coudn’t release it on google since you need to be 18

So i tried making the icon with AI but it didn’t work so i did it myself on affinity :)

Made it easy to see now !

It will tell you with the badges color if its safe to use the website. The number indicate how many engines have flagged it as malicious!

Full backend is working!

I get the website, get the API then analyze is and boom a result (in the console)

Got the website url!

Now i get the website URL whenever the user goes into a new website, and i cleaned up the url for the API call.

Made the basic look of the extension

I made the color palette (used the same as virus total’s color palette) and made it work in chrome!

Made a CLI function in python of the hole code now i have to convert it to Javascript
