Basic Progress

I’ve got a very simple layout working as well as a nice folder structure and backend. It’s not much so far but I’m trying to move some things over from the last site without just completely copying what I did there.

In the beginning was the raw HTML

My old website was pretty cool but my want to keep it 100% compatible with any device that supports HTML 3.2 meant anything I could do on it was very limited. As such I’ve decided to soon retire it to a retro.* page under my domain and work on a newer, more modern page.

To start I’ve set up a Python Flask backend (not the greatest, sure, but it works) serving the page. One feature I decided to bring over from my old page was a randomly-generated subtitle on the page that I quite enjoyed.
