created BOM and found exact parts needed
I have used the sample code provided by the artnet library and used it to control the onboard RGB LED on an ESP32. I am using this as a proof of concept that the code is functional and can work with any RGB LED.
Finished the 3D model of the parts needed for mounting and casing. There are three printable parts required which are highlighted in blue
I have started by creating a 3D model of the casing within which the components would sit which include 2 NEMA 14 stepper motors for pan and tilt. The main 3D printable object in this is the rotating plate which has the arm on the side.
The next steps to this is to adjust the width of the arm to allow the stepper motor to fit inside better (it is too tight right now), followed by cutting a hole for the motor shaft and wires.
The attached image is some planning I did before the 3D modeling
