Ive changed the FIRST THING TO DO (the most important and life changing modification) WAS changing the background to a darker purple.

Came back with a new update!!!!
Ive fixed the problem with the pieces when grabbing them goes BIGGGGGGGG, and besides that ive re-added the legal moves indicator. A slighty bigger update was that NOW theres sound. 8-bit sounds like but i think its kinda unique other than using the normal pieces sounds like how the popular chess sites uses (chess.com/lichess.org)

Came back to this project to update it after making other projects. (aka, i forgot about this :P).
What ive added? Well ive removed and added at the same time.
I removed the analyze board because i couldnt find a way to make it better.
I added a popout that shows up when you change difficulty

Came back to update the project. One of the reviews said that i have to make the bot “think” for few seconds (added to wait for 1.5 seconds) and an other one to make the bot easier by changing the bot. Im not changing the bot but adding the chance of the bot making mistakes. (easy = 0.50 ; medium = 0.15 ; hard = 0.05). Somebody said that the board is too basic and it doesnt work, YOURE A LIAR. THE BOARD WORKS AND THE BOARD IS A CHESS BOARD, WHAT DO YOU WANT TO EXPECT?

total suffering. but HEY! finally added analysis board, its not really similar to lichess,chess.com or whatever is there. but it does work! im about to add now files and ranks (a-h) and (1-8) on the side the board

Day 3 of making chess. PROJECT IS ALMOST DONEE!!!!!

Fixed stockfish. Now it moves. added difficulties and move highlight. nothing else to say right now…

New things added and bugs fixed!!!!!
added a circle that shows legal captures. checkmate message and square highlight when its check.
Now i will start adding a bot,i have 2 options, minimax or stockfish…. prob i will go with stockfish. but now i have to see whats minimax and whats good for this!
Soon i will add more messages (such as stalemate,repetition move draw,50 rule move draw) and analyze tab.

Good news and bad news.
Made the pieces move legal. added legal move highlights. fixed the selected piece highlight (i didnt show at devlog 3# but the selected piece highlight it showed only the upper part and the left part of the square).
The bad news is that when its blacks turn and you press white pieces accidentaly,you cant do anything….

Day 2 of making chess. right now (thanks to youtube and little help from AI) i added the pieces and put them in their place. now i have to make them move. from what i saw (and what chatgpt said) i can make them move with many lines of code (something manual) or with a help of chess.js. Asked AI whats the best and they said that its good with chess.js. Also i added an outline of the square you press/select.

My plan right now for this project is:
-making the pieces work and move, IN LEGAL WAY.
-adding bot/stockfish with diffrent levels
-tab to analyze your games
-probally like in chess.com/lichess.org,adding a “papersheet” of the moves that happen in the board

Finally made the chessboard (prob i will change the color,idk) SPECIAL THANKS FOR LICHESS FOR HAVING A GITHUB FOLDER WITH ALL THEIR PIECES!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now i have to set them up. like put them in their places.

Trying to make chess. things i would add to this is:
-Board (of course)
-Pieces (of course 2x)
-coordonates
-working bot to play with
-diffrent dificulties of the bot
(more ideas will come soon!!!)
Right now im working on the first one from the list (board).
