A Controlled Enviroment For Plant Growth use cases growing exotic plants, expermentation, etc ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- the five factors this can control is air temputure, water temputure, humidity, light level, ambient sound, ps it uses hydroponics instead of soil

I worked on makeing a psudocode flow chart for happy plant. basically each potentiometer controls its own variable and each output device runs on a base power/frequency times the relating potetiometers variable.

I just did some final edits on the model I added a hole in the back for the power supply unit I also added a mount for the servo that is a part of the mister mechanisms

I worked on finishing the servo mod by giving it more prongs to make sure the water in the tube wont fall backwards I took a while for me to figure out how to import the servo mod but I found out the problem was some of my sketches weren’t fully defined so fixed that i also learned that if I wanted to add it derectly to my model I hade to use parasolid instead of an stl. I also worked on the water resorvior I made it small I also pushed it to the side to make room for the electronics

In this work session I worked On making a Hole for the 4 digit 7 segment display as well as making a wall and hole to connect the potentiometers and the 4 digit 7 segment display to the main electronic box. I also worked on the mister mechanisms I expanded the water reservoir and worked on the part used to help the servo push water up the tube.

my wifi cut so I had to end this session here but this session I worked on scaling my model to the right size to be able to be printed as well as adjusting the sizes of some parts to fit componets properly I also added holes for the potentiometers on the side on the model

I worked on finishing all the modeling of the ‘‘shell’’ of the controlled plant enviroment I worked on making the mechanisms in the main electronic box such as the ‘‘heatsink’’ and the water reservoir for the mister in the next update for modeling I will add the holes for the electctronics

I worked on MODELING the most basic parts of the CONTROLED PLANT ENCLOSURE in ONSHAPE the parts I modeled the work session was the top cover, the bottom water reservoir, air water barrier, and I started modeling the main electronic box.

I added all the electronic parts listed to my tinkercad model(bysides PSU) but some weren’t in tinkercad so i used other componets to represent them. The parts I have so far are 5 potentiometers 1 continous servo. 1 slider switch. 1 LED meant to represent a LED grow bulb. 1 piezo buzzer meant to represent a ultrasonic atomizing piezo disc. and finally two bread boards meant to represent thermoelectric heat pumps.

I worked on the circut for the enclosure in tinkercad but I mostly just did trouble shooting. I tried to find out how to attach a screen to a arduino. I tried to use a lcd screen using a a guide from an arduino forum but it didn’t work. so I ended up just attaching the potentiometers in this work session. I ended up learning a lot for the next time I try to tackle the challenge of adding a LCD screen or something similar

I made Xray versions of some of some of the sketches to show the inear workings of the controlled enviroment for growing plants such as how the water mister works as well as how the air and water heating works I also decided to use a thermoelectric heat pump for the heating of the water and air as it lets me create heat aswell as “cold”

I worked on making a basic sketch of my project —————————————————————– I decided to do basic sketch of the controlled plant enviroment to help me with finding ideas on how to control each factor important to plant growth. So the factors I have chose to be adjustable so far are listed here from easest to hardest to implement 1- light level of the enclosure 2- background sound in the enclosure 3- air moisture 4- the temputure of the water the plant is growing in 5- the air temputure of the enclosure

WELCOME TO MY PROJECT CALLED HAPPY PLANT.
There is two reasons why I made this project one is that sometimes I want to grow a certain plant but the region I live in Is not suitable for Its growth. Another reason why I made this was I thought It would be useful to be able to test diffrent conditions on a plant and use the the conditions that give you the most desirable results for your needs so I chose to design this to have an a enviroment that is ‘‘fully’’ controled.––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––
IN THIS SESSION
I worked on some brain storming and reseach on what factors that effect plant growth I should control and how to control them.
