The Void? is a simple snake-based game (combination of story and top-down snake style game) where the player must escape "the void"... or at least what seems to be a void. Inside the void there are letters that spell out a secret message. It also employs some Matrix lore as well.

I built a top down storey adventure game about being trapped in what seems to be a void but plot twist your just schizophrenic. This project was a part of a game jam outside of Hack Club. I had a lot of infuriating issues with the movement of the snake for some reason the tile map didnt match the snake movement and AI only made it worse so I physically had to note the key clicks and resulting tile used. But overall using a tileset as a sprite can be quite difficult. I found a lot of the issues I was having with the sprite tiles was due to the set tile size.

So far I have made the intro animations, and overall game mechnaics for the letter collection and snake movement rn i am working on the enemies, in which i am struggling quite a lot. For some reason some of the enemies arent working properly and some are? (I wrote this devlog 6/23 btw)
