CYBERDECK DEVLOG #2

OVERVIEW:
Today, I polished and did some final checks of the structure. I added aesthetic changes, such as chamfers, fillets, and a logo on the back lid. To store the trackpad when the device is shut, I carved out a recess in the lid which would house it.

I also added cutouts for the major wires to go through, along with a little doohickey to make the power button more accessible.

FIRST PRINT:
I started printing the main body. I’ll use this to test the fit and gain an idea of what the finished result would look like.

GOALS:
I plan on assembling the parts that are done printing and check the tolerances. I must make sure everything works as intended before installing heat set inserts and printing everything else.

Today, I finished up the enclosure for the raspberry pi. I realized that I had a hinge lying around, so rather than risking weak, 3D printed hinges, I decided to try to incorporate that into the design. Further work will be necessary to modify the design to accommodate this new hinge.
