A.R.I.E.L Devlog #2 - Project tracker

Finished coding up the project tracker feature. It keeps a JSON file of my projects, with subtasks, deadlines, priority, category and status for each.

Still remains to be integrated with the main script and tested+debugged.

A.R.I.E.L Devlog #1 - Base features

ARIEL has finally come alive (again)! Started off with importing the necessary modules and configuring input and output, making her sound as human as possible with whisper. Also integrated Ollama’s LLM into the voice assistant to deal with more complex queries.

Base features:

• Intelligent conversation with natural voice
• Web search and scraping
• Math help
• Play music on YT music
• Research help with referencing and citing sources
• Daily weather and news updates (if woken in the morning or explicitly asked for)
• Giving me updates about Formula 1

I’ve tested all these and they work pretty fine, the transcription is a bit dodgy though so might consider an ambient noise filter or something of the sort. Execution is also kinda slow, so might switch to a lower performance Ollama model.
