my APOD site - Stardance

Hello! I created an APOD website using NASA's API called NASAPOD. I customized the UI and added extra features and animations.

On the website you can scroll through dates, to see the picture of the day for each day! You can also use the next and back buttons to move between days or click "suprise me" to look at a random day.

The tools I used were the NASA APOD API, plain HTML/CSS/JS, and the vite Vanilla script template.

Just finished the website and named it NASApod! I added buttons to travel “next” and “back” from day to day. The image is also now side-by-side with the text. I also added a button called “surprise me!” which will take you to a random day. I also deployed the site with github pages so it is no longer ran on my local server :).

Finished the generic styling from the guide, but I plan to change this in future updates. Thinking of adding a loading animation while the user waits for the calendar date’s info to load and I plan on changing the theme and styling as well.

I just finished the set up for my project and am moving on to writing my main.js file. It took a few tries because apparently my files weren’t saving properly. But after a little work my workflow worked!
