I got a cool grid background now! It was honestly a bit harder to make than I thought, but I figured it out!

Now that I have the background figured out, I want to actually work on my about section and the Hero Section. The featured projects will be lower down on the home page once I finish the hero section… I’m thinking about a wavy line that connects each section and pulses with a green sphere every 2-5 seconds. The goal is to show that it’s all connected and sort of like a graph.

The current plan is for the home page is:
Hero -> Featured Projects -> Skills -> Contact section

Had to restart because I got a new laptop and didn’t upload the last one to Github… </3
I learned my lesson about that now…

Anyways!!! I’m working on a more code-based theme. I decided that the light mode was too much for my poor eyes, so we’re back in black!

I liked the grid background from the first devlog, so that’s what I’ll work on integrating next, and then I’ll work on the about and hero sections. Normally, content is supposed to come first, but I tend to make the websites look good first, then worry about functionality after… (I need to fix that habit)

I decided to create a new portfolio for the challenge. Originally, I was going to create an OS-based portfolio to complete the OS challenge, but I decided that I wanted it to be a bit more creative.

This version of the portfolio will be based more on a grid/paper concept. Much like my recent project, Poets United, it features a light theme, which I normally tend to avoid. I want to try to get more comfortable with light-mode websites, so this is another attempt at that.

I want to really showcase a more paper-based creativity and have projects displayed on sticky notes/notebook paper.

Overall, I like this concept, and I look forward to further developing it!
