ngl i took a little break from this project but im back and i made a few updates based on the feedback i got from you guys.
this devlog will be pretty short since this was just a polishing update.
the most significant changes include a new display for feedback, more information about me, and some social links at the bottom.
so yea this update is pretty small, but hopefully the website feels a lot better to use!
i spent this one on the vibe. i gave the whole site a soft gradient background and cleaned up light/dark mode so both actually look good instead of just “not broken.” i also added a ray of light that follows your cursor, it’s pointless but i love subtle details. the biggest obstacle was buttons. i learned to build a custom 3d push button from josh comeau’s guide, and also picked up a bunch of other cool tricks from his site along the way. i took a little break from frontend and decided to hook up supabase to record one-word feedback from visitors. right now it shows up in a little box, but as more people send feedback, it won’t fit. i’m most likely going to do an infinite scrolling headline type thing because it would probably be the most compact and it’ll look amazing.
more updates soon! (i might even add some games who knows)
I just started working on my very own portfolio website. I added a dark mode/light mode switch, and an about me button that goes to an about me page. I’m currently working on how the about me page looks, and I’m looking to add button animations, interactive elements in the background, and more. Later on, I will be adding things like a widget that shows what music I am currently listening to, and something to link my socials.
