I built a Slack bot called Kitulicek. It started as a simple bot with ping, help, roll, and bored commands. But in one day I added random compliments and a complete poll system (create + delete) with automatic reactions.

The most challenging thing was writing the code. As a complete beginner, I don’t know the syntaxes well and I struggle to write code efficiently. I can read and understand code much better than I can write it from scratch. Every new feature took a lot of time and help.

I'm proud that as a complete beginner I managed to implement a working poll system with reactions and proper validation in just one day. I also created a clean README.md file to make the project easier to understand and run.

For testing my project you need to know:
- Poll commands (/kitulicek-poll and /kitulicek-poll-delete) only work in one specific channel (currently C0P5NE354(#bot-spam)).
- Poll format: Question | Option 1 | Option 2 | Option 3... (minimum 2 options maximum 10 options)
- To delete a poll, right-click the poll message → "Copy link" and paste it into the delete command.

Hey everyone,
It’s only been about 5 hours since my first dev log and I’ve already added a bunch of new stuff!
In the afternoon I managed to implement:

-/kitulicek-compliment – random compliments
-Complete poll system (/kitulicek-poll + /kitulicek-poll-delete)

Polls are restricted to one specific channel so they don’t spam the whole workspace
Automatic number reactions on polls

I also wrote a proper README.md with installation instructions and command overview.
Still can’t believe I did all of this in one day. I went from basic ping/help commands in the morning to a fully working poll system by the evening.
I’m tired but really happy with the progress.

Hey, Today I started working on my own Slack bot.
I’m a complete beginner, so I’m not 100% sure about what I’m doing.
Right now, the bot supports ping, help, bored, and roll.
Thanks to Nest, I managed to get the bot running 24/7 (if Nest doesn’t crash).
I’ve already learned how to use Git, though, which I count as a plus.
