I am building a custom USB keyboard emulator for Onshape. It will have dedicated buttons for frequently used shortcuts to make CAD work faster and easier. The project includes designing a 3D-printed casing, building the electronics, programming the microcontroller, and creating a custom PCB.
My Onshape Control Panel - Project Plan ———————————————–– Before starting the build, I created a detailed plan for my Onshape Control Panel. I wrote down the steps I need to complete, the components I will use, and the Onshape shortcuts I want to include.The goal of this project is to create a custom physical control panel that makes using Onshape faster and more comfortable. The device will work as a USB keyboard emulator with dedicated buttons for frequently used CAD functions.In the next steps, I will start designing the first casing prototype in Onshape and test different button layouts.
