devLog#6: IM DONE. I finally finished that annoying pcb and wired everything up. (Im new to pretty much everything except Onshape). I had to completely overhaul the onshape and schematic design multiple times due to unprecedented pcb size. But in the end, despite not knowing blue from red pcb lines, I made it. I will now be updating my ReadMe and submitting this!
DevLog #5: PCB + schematic. After finishing the casing, I started to work on the schematic and pcb. I had a lot of trouble initially, but it started to get better after I reviewed other people’s schematics and see what they did that I could use in my own design.
DEVLOG #4: I lied, I did in fact not finish the case. Now I have. added some color, some design on the sides, and I also realized that the rotary encoder probably needed to be on the same level as the other buttons,
devlog #3: rounded out the edges and made it more ergonomic and smooth, nicer to hold and more appealing.
devlog #2: finishing the casing. I finished my casing in onshape by building the finished 3D model. I plan to now figure out how QMK firmware works and begin on the pcb next. I am not having many problems because I have been using onshape for over a year now, it was taught at my school.
devlog #1: Build 3D casing. I built the simple casing for the macropad, just to get the initial measurements for everything that will happen later, like the customization and internal parts.
