I decided to make this, because I realised how hard and annoying it is to play The Binding Of Isaac on a 60% keyboard.
I decided to make this, because I realised how hard and annoying it is to play The Binding Of Isaac on a 60% keyboard.
i have basically done nothing, because my computer sadly froze. I only have a 3050ti laptop and i just cant do more stuff, it limits me… sadly…
I have tried and tried, but i keep failing, fusion is so conFUSION (get it) (fusion and confusing) (hahaha……), i have sadly not done much, even though i have spent much and much time on it, but i just cant get my head around fusion. I will also sadly be taking a huge three week break, because of my trip to france and i cant take my laptop with me to work further. Im having unimaginable headaches, im just so done with this stuff… I cant even remember clearly what i have done.
Is my board correct? I have spent much time importing and placing everything, and researching but im just too tired. The guide is very incomplete on the case design.
Ill try to convince my parents i can take my laptop, sorry yall
I have been really busy with designing the case, but most of the time was figuring out how fusion works, how i add the step files, how i import my pcb and all that stuff. the case is pretty much nothing now, but there is also me making a sandwich and getting suitcases for my trip to spain tomorrow in the time, with me forgetting the pause button exists. This makes up for my untracked 2/3 hours in my opinion…
(Not done yet as you can see but i have an appointment, or in french, a rendez vous (thats the correct meaning right?!?!?!)
long story short: Research, importing and figuring out how stuff works.
didnt really do much, it was my birthday a few day ago. but i didnt really feel like working on the case today, sorry yall! I tried to but i was missing the focus…
(Yes my birthday was 5 july!)
See yall!
Rewired the pcb and added some fun things whahaha, imma keep it short cus gta6 is waiting (eyes emoji), ive also set up fusion360, and i made some wires longer because that would look cool on the pcb…
Riddle of the day: I have no mouth, but I can answer.
I have no ears, but I can listen.
The more you trust me, the more I reveal.
What am I?
give your guess in the comments! Answer will be in next times devlog!
again, parents are really really mad. so one screenshot before i get beat to death by evil parents (not really)
Had physics test today, went pretty well. I hear moms coming up the stairs after calling me 3 times, was nice knowing yall!
My parents are really really mad, so this will be short
I have basically done nothing, but i have redesigned the layout and ive added the saac, further i spent much time trying to figure out how i will place f.cu and b.cu, totally forgetting i can use both…
its also testweek so the case will probably come this weekend as ive spent too much time on the pcb while not really doing anything LMAO
next devlog will be longer, i promise!
Emanuel, out!
(Tuff asl)
TBOMP: This is my first, fully succesfull devlog after my failed attemps of not closing tabs… lol…. funny….. right….
Went to school, made 2 tests for testweek, learned a lot of mathematics
Oh, ehhh, i added the OLED screen, spent a whole lot of time trying to figure out how i should route my stuff (You are going to be shocked (in a bad way) when you see my kicad routing, believe me, its worse than the average cable management on a 6 year old pc….), i have also added the rotary encoder! (Yippee!!!!!)
I spent a lot of time revising my layout, what should go where, but mostly on the kicad schematic.
Ohh, yeahhh, ehhh, about that… I mean lord saac…
Because i spent so much time on the schematic, oled screen and the pcb layout, i forgot to add the saac. And yes, i was planning to do it. But my father came in (basically the real life mother from the binding of isaac (just kidding, i love you dad)), and i didnt have time left to add the saac and other funny, tboi themed stuff… sadly… how could i even forget the saac???
Adding the saac, of course, (probably) revising layout and PCB (again), doomscrolling and doing research on the phidippus regius… Trying to figure out how i can change my stardance PFP and last but not least, beginning on the actual case!!! (YAY!!!)
I have one question left for yall, maybe 2, but one real question:
Should the OLED screen go on 5V or on 3V3?
last question:
Answer in comments!!
Made the pcb, made cool themed SVG icons, learned how to add rotary encoders. I have spent around a total of 3 hours and 40 minutes on this project, but i closed the browser tab every time. What will my macropad be? It will be made only for playing the binding of isaac on a 60 percent keyboard, but id thought id add some more cool stuff to it. I have made around 80% of my pcb, and every session ive had so far i thought ‘nah, i can do better’, with the result i keep coming with better and cooler ideas… It was supposed to be finished today……. I am also in testweek, so wish me luck. But back to the macropad! I have made an SVG, to put on the board of the populer tboi (The binding of isaac) meme ‘the saac’, and some other svg’s. after im fully done with the pcb, i will add the smaller, funnier things. So, shortly said. Still busy with the pcb!!
Does anybody have tips or can help me with how i should route my rotary encoder and my oled screen in the schematic and pcb design? I cant find any help anywhere! Big thanks!
