i have done a massive amount of work, so i pulled the trigger and decided to finally switched to kicad, the hmd pcb is done and its so beautiful i fucking love it, also im getting used to kicad and its so so so awesome im so happy i switched from fuh ahh fusion, so today i have another like 4 hours 57 mins of recording to log but i gotta wirte a devlog first so this will talk abt what i did yesterday cuz i didnt post it yesterday cuz i was on minecraft with the wifey (girlfriend, techincally fianceé), anyways so basically i spent a while routing the pcb in schematics and i with the help of wifey made a really nice logo that im personally proud of, so the new pcb is just a lsm6dsv, the nrf52840 mcu and a calibration led but no button cuz its like always in your pc as its the hmd board, i also gave it a 2x07 pin spot for debugging the imu, it legit exposes every individual pin which i think will be very usefull for me atleast, also i made sure to pick the bigger pad options for the smd footprints as im still very much a beginner in hot air soldering and i dont even have a hotplate, infact last time i tried i cracked a microcontroller chip which im a dumbahh for otdl, anyways ill attach images of the new pcb and the schematic, i hope you have a very nice rest of your day / night.
