So the people I contacted about the CNC service said it would be too expensive, so I’m going to 3D print it out of Polycarbonate (the stuff bulletproof glass is made out of)

You could use ABS plastic instead of expensive materials. it would be easier to print and cheaper
yeah, but polycarbonate is a lot more impact resistant
