I spent too much time trying to solve an issue.

Everything worked well until I added a new API. Then, the most important API, the weather one, stopped working, I spent a lot of time tinkering with AI to try to optimize it. It turned out that renewing and changing the API key solved it 😢. But anyways, from errors, we learn. I also changed the potentiometer to change the screen with a joystick. I’m very close to finishing the code so I’ll leave the breakdown of what’s next below.

What’s next?

Polishing the overall looks.

Designing the case to fit the joystick.

Getting the joystick screen change to work consistently.

Making the UI more attractive.

3D modeling and advancements.

Some new advancements on the project, added a news screen to the dock (it works poorly) and started designing a case. The first prototype failed so new adjustments must be made.

First desk dock DevLog

This is the first DevLog about my desk dock posted in Stardance. I will explain what features it has as well as what i’ll be trying to do in the future. The project currently uses a potentiometer, a DHT11 and a CYD ESP32. I used a website called Lopaka to generate the more complex graphics. • Main Page with hour and basic weather info.

• More detailed weather page.

• Basic 3-day forecast.

• Page that has a random joke.
