Devlog #2
Velora is now starting to feel more like an actual desktop environment. Today I focused on the functionality and smoothness of the apps.
Current features:
🌤️ Live weather widget with real data
🕒 12/24 hour clock support
🔍 Search system that can open Velora apps and search Google
🎨 Theme switching
🧮 Working calculator
📝 Notes app
There were definitely some bugs along the way (especially breaking things while trying to improve them), but fixing those problems has been the most stimulating part of this project. I’m willing to do what it takes to get this up and functioning.
Day 1 of building my own web OS 💻I started making something called VELORA, which is basically my attempt at creating my own browser-based operating system from scratch. Right now it doesn’t have much: a live clock, glassy widgets, and—my favorite part—THE WIDGETS ARE DRAGGABLE 😭It’s still very early and definitely not an actual OS yet, but watching it slowly start to look like a real desktop is honestly so cool. I want to add a Start Menu, actual apps, customizable wallpapers, desktop icons, and probably way too many features because I have no idea how to stop adding ideas 💀Anyway, VELORA is officially in development 🚀✨
