I'm creating a mousepad where a grid of hall effect sensors are embedded to detect any magnet. This aims to make a super lightweight mouse that only has a magnet as the mouse.

Soldered all the parts!

I managed to solder for the first time in my life.
All SS49E sensors are bent so that the sensor side is up
I made sure not to reverse the capacitors since they were electrolytic. (they pop and is kind of dangerous, for anyone who didn’t know)

I finished the PCB and case design. I kept the case simple since it is just supposed to function as a mouse pad.

I had to fix the footprint for the hall effect sensor (SS49E) because it was designed to have the pads too close to each other for manufacturing.

In the process I had to reroute the copper to accommodate the new footprint.
