I’m currently building a web OS, and honestly, it’s turning out very differently from what I expected. I thought I was going to be the one cooking, but instead, I’m the one getting cooked.
I’m also not very familiar with JavaScript yet, so I’ve been using AI to help me understand the syntax, along with some of the functions and variables.Anyway, this is my project. To be honest, I wasn’t confident enough to make a dev post about it, but then I got an email from one of the staff members, so I figured, why not? The main inspiration comes from Windows 98.
I originally thought it would be easy to recreate because there aren’t many complex animations, but I was completely wrong. At first, I couldn’t even center a piece of text on the page.
Thankfully, I can do that now, so I guess that’s progress. Oh, and I’m using JavaScript for both the frontend and the backend.
Well… I might not continue this project after all, so this could end up being the first and last devlog for this web OS.
