Devlog - 01

I am making an FRC(First Robotics Competition) robot using OnShape CAD(computer aided design). So far I have designed the chassis, consisting of 4 SDS(Swerve Drive Specialties) Mk41 swerve(a type of omnidirectional drive train) modules and box tube, bumpers, which protect the bot during a match, and a slap down, over-the-bumper intake, which will help get game pieces into the robot.

That is all for now, although this project will continue over the summer.

@sukiwyatt

Why not use plates where the box tubing is, also, if you haven’t already, join DDS (David’s design server discord) for tons of smart people and feedback. I would also recommend starting by finishing the drivetrain subassembly and then working on a separate intake assembly

@sukiwyatt Thanks very much for your input! I’m relatively new to CAD, especially OnShape, as I had just started at the end of build season. I will take your suggestions into account for next year’s robot! (Team 3543 if you want to keep an eye out)
