Paper trail

Paper Trail is my personal portfolio — a warm, editorial, multi-page website that shows who I am and what I've built. It's hand-coded in plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript (no website builder), with smooth scrolling via Lenis and motion powered by GSAP: a custom loading screen, an animated cursor, magnetic buttons, scroll-triggered reveals, parallax shapes, animated skill bars and a marquee. It has three pages — Home, Work and Contact — featuring my projects (SoilScope, Healing Steps, Vocal Willow), my skills with proficiency levels, and my recognitions. The goal was to make something that feels premium and alive while staying clean and easy to read.

Ship #1

I vibe-coded my portfolio from scratch using Claude (no builder, no template) with HTML, CSS, and JS, plus a cursor-reactive Three.js 3D background, Lenis smooth scrolling, and GSAP scroll animations. The tricky part was getting the 3D to show through every section without wrecking the text, plus a deploy nightmare where GitHub flattened my folders and killed all the styling. I'm proud it's all mine, looks expensive but runs on plain web code, and I built it at 16 by vibe-coding with Claude and learning the libraries as I went. The projects on it are real things I've shipped, and I'll keep adding to it.
