I Designed A Realistic Space Shuttle Using Computer Aided Design. I modeled every aspect of this rocket as realistic as I could and I'm very satisfied with the result!

I Finished The Rocket Component Of My Space Shuttle
This Was A Long And Hard Process But I was Finally Able To Complete The Rocket Component Of My Shuttle!
This Is What I Have Done In The Past 6 Hours
What I Still Need To Do
This Project Is So Close To Being Done! If You Have Any Suggestions To Make This Rocket Better, Please State Them In The Comments!
Almost Done The Back Of My Rocket!
I Can’t Believe How Close I Really Am From Completing This Project. This Is All I Need To Do Before I Am Done:
A quick fix to the wings of the space shuttle (this will probably take 10 minutes and then I will be done with the back of my rocket!
Connect the fuel tanks to the rest of the build (They are hidden in this picture)
Possibly fix one area on the front of my rocket (This Is Optional But Would Make The Rocket Look Much Better)
What I Did Since Last Devlog:
I completely remade the vertical stabilizer (also called the tail fin) of the space shuttle
Remade and angled the oms pods since they were completely wrong before
Moved up the oms engine nozzles (The bell looking component on the rocket)
Redesigned the RCS thruster ports (They are beside the OMS engine nozzles)
If you have any improvements that i could make to the space shuttle, please mention them in the comments!
I’m Done The Front Of My Space Shuttle!
This Has Taken A Lot Of Hours But I Am Happy With This Iteration
I was able to add:
What I Still Need To Work On:
Almost done the front of my rocket!
After 3 Hours, I Was Able To Troubleshoot Many Errors and Finally I Was Able to Make The Front Of My Rocket Much More Realistic.
I was finally able to add:
I also removed the sharp edges on the front of the rocket that ruined the rocket’s overall image.
My next goals:
I was able to make the rocket look so much more realistic (Look at my other devlogs to see the before and after) and I’m so happy about how it turned out so far!
So far, I have made amazing progress on this ambitious project and I can’t wait to finish this off.
I’m still working on my space shuttle!
So Far, My Main Goal has been Editing The Front of My Shuttle Since it Was Lacking in Realism. This Includes:
Smoothing down ruff corners
Adding high detail to the front of the rocket (Haven’t done this yet, but I have enough experience from the previous design to edit this)
Enlarging the base of the rocket to add more crucial detail
Making the front shape of the rocket realistic (This is by far the hardest and most time-consuming part)
Adding detail to the tip of the rocket and the window in the front of the rocket (I haven’t really started on this because it needs a lot of work)
Adding realistic connections to the external tank (Right now it’s just sitting on top)
Once I complete these main goals, I will likely be done! (The rest of the rocket in this image is hidden)
Feel Free To Share Suggestions About The Rocket In The Comments!
Still Working on My Space Shuttle. I was able to add much more detail to the external tank like realistic panels, vents, and intertank ribs (The stripe pattern on the external tank). I also moved up the external tank and rocket since they were very low. I’m also planning on designing a better nose for the shuttle. After I do that, I’m am going to be very close to being done but the nose will take a while.
Editing My Space Shuttle
I mostly worked on adding the smaller details on the external tank.
I was able to smooth out some areas to add more realism and this made the rocket more clean.
I also realized that the front of my rocket isn’t very realistic, and I’m going to try and fix it. I’m also planning on adding other details.
Sadly, it seems like my project will take much longer than expected, but I’m willing to pour in more time to make this ship accurate.
I’ll try to add much more detail over these past few days.
I might also design a stand so you can display this rocket (You should be able to print it once I ship the project, and it should also support multicolor printing) Let me know if you want me to make a stand in the comments!
My Space Shuttle is Almost Done!
My Estimate is That it Will be Done Tomorrow
The main goals I have worked on since my last devlog are:
What I still need to work on:
This whole build took way too long since i made many mistakes and errors during this whole process but I learned a lot and I’m very happy with the result!
If you see my shipped project, feel free to check it out!
I’ve Finally Designed The Back of My Space Shuttle.
I was able to add very crucial details like:
I Completed The First Side of The Rocket For My Shuttle
I still need to do the other side so I will work on that next and then I will almost be completed this project!
I’m Designing A Space Shuttle Completely From Scratch
This involved many steps
I’m Now Working On Adding More Details To The Fuel Tanks and Other Large Components
