My WebOS 🖥️🚀

I built my own browser-based operating system using HTML, CSS and JavaScript!

The idea was to create a desktop- experience that works inside a web browser. No installation needed. Just open it. Go.

🛠️ What did I make?

• A custom desktop-style user interface.

• An interactive app system.

• A taskbar and navigation controls.

• Multiple development versions (V1, V2, V3 and V4).

• A JavaScript structure so new features can be added easily.

• Plans for an integrated web browser and games.

What was challenging?

The biggest challenge was making everything work together using HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Handling windows, user interactions, navigation and different versions of the WebOS took a lot of debugging.

I also wanted the experience to feel like a desktop environment, not another website. That meant paying attention to details like window animations, drag-and-drop and responsive behavior.

🏆 What am I proud of?

I’m proud that I turned an idea into a working WebOS prototype. I started with an interface. Slowly built it into something bigger.

The coolest thing? The whole system runs in a browser in the open. No apps, no downloads— code.

🧪 How can you test it?

Open the demo link in a desktop browser. Explore the interface. Try launching apps. Move windows. Click on the taskbar. Test navigation.

This is still a work in progress. There are bugs. There are edges. That’s part of the fun.
