Today i finally finsihed with the schematic of project macro and assigning the appropriate footnotes to each component. It was pretty easy going but took sm onger than I had actually expected. I think debugging the errors and warnings took the longets part as I had to learn how to manually assign footnotes, how to do global nets to avoid a cluster of wires, close parts I wasn’t using and adding power flags to parts. The bad thing was that as I was trying to figure out how to assign the footnotes I decided to just place the footnotes in a different folder and then use that so it readjusts but I also changed the symbols library by accident now I can’t even ctrl Z and I doin’t remember what was there originally. But thats a problem for tmr me.

Added the proper links to the projects tab inside the files section so that all my projects can be displayed properly. Once all my projects are properlly done ill add a full blog or just make a video to go through everything nicely

Today marks the end of this project I think. All of the proper code has been completed and I think if I have to add anythign else it would js be updating stickers on the corkboard and links for the thumbnails in the corkboard section. Today was mainly designing the actual thumbnails which took way longer than I had wanted to match the aestehtics and everything but we all done now. The portfolio should now be live if anyones interested and I might make a proper video on my youtube showcasing every part in proper detail and stuff if anyones interested

Added more pictures on the corkboard and tried to fix the orientation and layout so everything looked more seamless. Added links to the rotary phone today and I will see if I maybe add the sound of a phone ringing after the last scroll is taken.

As the proper coding of my personal portfolio is done I thoguht I would just spend the day decorating it today and making it match my aesthetic etc to keep the mixed media vibe going. I started with adding the appropriate files to the projects sections and blog posts which links to the projects tab of my website to show all of them in more depth. A couple days ago I found a 3d model box that I was going to use for a whats in my bag type situation for my experience and software i’m comfortable with but then whilst playing minecraft I htoguth about the idea of loot dropping and decided to use my minecraft avatar instead. Then i finished the timeline with the past 3years of events which I think had a big turning point and then created a full page version of the timeline just incase anyone else wanted to see a bigger version I guess. After that was the links section I really wanted it to give a corkboard type feel its not there yet as I still need to make some graphics for it but its coming along. The final section the rotary phone is also completed code wise just like the hero section but I really want to add links for each number like my github, pinterest email etc just a contacts page but once the last scroll is taken I would really like a proper ring sound. Once the portfolio is fully complete I might create a youtube video or something to show the process and thoroughly explain what went into the creation of this my thoguht process etc if anyones interested 🐰🐰

Today I found a free 3d model of this cardboard box to put all the apps I am comfortable with using kinda like and experience box when the box is double clicked all the app logos will pop out for some reason my github isnt working today too so ill have to try again tommorrow godwilling to see if the repos work if not then ill just delete all my files and then re-add them

Today after some delays I have finally finished the outer shell of my personal portfolio including how I want the js to operate / work so now all I have to do is properly add the graphics fonts I want just little things to fully give my portfolio a smooth mixed media feel.

Today was an extremely tasking day as I tried to fix the telephone final section of my portfolio and create blog post pages and a gallary for my projects. The telephone are is still a work in progress as for some reason as the user scrolls down (prolly cause of the section dividers I made inistially) but the telephone only spins a little without spinning around all the way which I want it to. Once the fundamental code revolving the telephone I done I can actually start the customisation - Since the vibe for the portfolio that I am going for is mixed media I realised that I have to create said media and I can’t js leave stuff to ai cause no to AI art. So now I must create a miniture avatar minecraft looking pixelated character for section 3 which when double clicked will drop loot of some sorts kinda like a whats in my bad. And for the timeline section section 3 I have to add proper points and edit the kinda lines on the ladder to be less equal to give it a more realistic look and add pictures. Over all I’m really exicted for this project to be over so far I think its my favourite

Sorry for the slightly long ramble today but I figured it might be best to do so that way I can js go back and recap and continue in future devlogs.
So today I tried to get majority of the “outershell” of my portfolio done so at a later time I can focus more on the proper graphics.
The very first part of my portfolio as previosuly mentioned is inspired by a lava lamp because I think they are very cool. For slight context my passion is science, tech, medicine etc but I have always found art and aesthetically pleasing things in general to be very enjoyable too, so with that in mind I wnated my website to have a mixed media look so that it was futuristic in some sorts but also represented me as a whole.

It might be very hard to tell what each segment of the website looks like currently its js fragments of a whole so i’ll try to explain the vision.

In the hero section of my website its a lava lamp I might add mouse compatability so it moves with the cursor not sure yet waiting on feedback ig.

2nd section is a projects section with the projects I’m working on or have already worked on.

3rd section is the polaroid section so more about me its going to hopefully display a picture of self and a little avatar which I might make using blender or js a pixel and when double tapped I kinda fall and then drop loot js like minecraft but its styled as a what’s in my bag for things I’m interested in

4th section is a timeline of events that have lead up to this in some sorts

5th will be a corkboard vibe with all my videos and articles if I post them

6th section - The final one will hopefully be a telephone with the circle spiny thing which when spun will show a link to contact me eg. pinterest , youtube email js social medias I have.

Today I attempted to try and actual do more work on the portfolio. Its been neglected for some time as finding out how to make a lava lamp took so much research not even AI was helping but throught my countless minutes of googling I found an open source one that worked.

Using that since it was just the mechanics of a lava lamp that I wanted I worked to extract the actual fluid for within the container and just have that within the hero of my portfolio cause I thought it looked cool.

After that I decided to move onto section 2 which is called the files and is where I shall be storing / displaying the projects I have / am working on. Im currently trying to go for a mixed media looking website but it looks very plain right now so don’t mind that.
I added some buttons which turn burgundy upon hover and made it a parallax scroll effect instead of buttons to move between files. In the future I might make them look a little more like files in file explorer so its cooler.

I’m not sure whether to keep the colour of the background white or black time shall tell
