Ink Vault is a distraction-free journaling and habit-building app designed to make consistency feel rewarding. Many people want to journal, track goals, or write notes to their future selves, but existing apps are often cluttered, account-dependent, or focused on social features rather than personal reflection. Ink Vault solves this by providing a simple, notebook-inspired experience that works entirely offline and stores data locally by default. Users can develop streaks on personal goals, maintain a daily journal, and create locked notes that only reveal themselves after reaching a milestone or a future date. The project improves quality of life by helping users stay accountable to long-term goals, preserve personal memories, and create meaningful motivation through future rewards. Built as an installable PWA with offline support, Ink Vault is designed to be available anywhere while remaining private, lightweight, and easy to use.
3 QOL improvements include:
- Autosave: reduces accidents possibly caused by lost data.
- Goal streak tracking with heatmaps and milestones: reduces friction by showing progress over time.
- Future-locked notes: allows reflection. Have you ever had a teacher say to give yourself a note when you graduate? I have... I think this feature is great, because, while then I thought it was dumb, now I realize-- just how great this feature could be.
