This is my WebOS 2 Devlog! I added 3 new apps. Settings app, change color of top bar and background Macy’s Store app, browse through Macy’s coat deals Cookie Clicker, because Keon loooooves cookies! I also changed some of the app icons to make them a little more unique. Please be generous rating it 🙏

I got my original design rejected because I lowk just copied the tutorial, but then I went and watched some YouTube videos, and I think I got it this time. All that’s left is to figure out the firmware stuff, and then I should be good to go! I added 9 key switches this time, but I made sure to keep it a perfect square so it can still be a Minecraft Block. I might make it entirely cubic but we’ll see.

For a little update, I added a boot-up menu, and now if something gets within 15 cm, the screen starts flashing in the direction of the “threat.”

Spider-Sense HUD Glasses - Devlog 1

So here I made an Arduino simulation of my project, which is supposed to be “smart glasses” that have ultrasonic sensors around them, and they send a signal to the OLED screen beam-splitter, and it shows you what direction the “threat” is coming from. I’m hoping to get funding for this project so I can make it real, because I’ve always wanted to tinker around with microcontrollers and such.

I was inspired to make this bot because I just finished a run, and I realized I’m broke on stardust. Basically, you run /go-touch-grass-log, type in the format, and it should save the run, and you can delete or view your runs with /go-touch-grass-view and /go-touch-grass-delete. This is my only devlog probably, because this was super easy, and the guide was much easier to follow than the Hackpad one, so thank you, Hack Club 🙏

I finished my Macropad, and I ended up going back to the 3 switches so it actually looked like a Minecraft grass block. The hardest part this time around was the QMK firmware setup and then getting all the files organized so I could submit it. Overall, even though I went through a TON of trouble in this project, I’m glad I took a step back and simplified it. This Macropad is going to have a play/pause button, open Minecraft, and open Discord.

I decided to redo the entire design, so it’s more of a wider rectangle. However, I am still so confused, and I can’t figure out for the life of me how to use Fusion360. This is going to be a long night

Now, I am working on adding a rotary encoder and OLED screen. However, I am having a lot of trouble trying to figure out how to actually design it, because I have no idea what the dimensions are, and I am extremely lost. Nothing fits, and I have no idea how to use Fusion360. I am probably going to redesign the PCB in KiCad so I can fit everything because I am beginning to lose patience.

I finished the basic PCB and case design, then I wanted to add the screen and rotary encoder. The guide did not explain this at all, so I had to ask AI for help with instructions on how to do it. I also did the QMK firmware and mapped the buttons for what I want them to do.

It took me a really long time to build the case because the guide was extremely confusing to me. I had to redo the entire thing twice because I think some of my measurements were off. I ended up pasting the instructions into Gemini so Gemini could explain it to me, because this is the first time I’m building a hardware project, and I feel like the guide skipped a ton of steps. In the end, I think I did it right, and I’m looking to go for a sort of Minecraft-themed Macropad.

I spent the first few minutes figuring out KiCad, and finished the PCB, which isn’t exactly the same as the guide, but it is close enough.

Built a pretty simple Python program that calculates the points in Fromage for 4 players.

I forgot to add the feature that isn’t in the guide, so I made an app called Keon Quotesman. It’s exactly what it sounds like, it just randomly generates most of his most popular quotes.

Finished WebOS1, I added a Weather app, moved the icons, and used the Open-Meteo API for the weather app. I did have to ask AI how to use an API, and the new news report in the colemanotes app is a real post from https://www.buffalorumblings.com/authors/anthony-marino. Gotta give credit where its due

Finished Part 4 of WebOS1. I added a new app, Colemanotes, where news reports and articles about Keon Coleman are made. I used a very formal picture of Keon Coleman for the icon so people know that this is very serious.

Finished Part 3 of WebOS1. After looking up a tutorial on YouTube on how to make things look Apple-themed in CSS, I changed the box to look kinda like the new liquid glass. Here is also where the window is draggable and closable.

Finished Part 2 of WebOS1. Here I finally added some more Keon Coleman theme, and found out how to use the thick border from W3 Schools and their CSS tags page. I also created a top bar with a pill shaped gif in the center to match the Dynamic Island on the iPhone.
