The hardest part, I’d say, was figuring out how to center the shapes that py turtle drew. I felt pretty dumb after manually coding turtle to draw polygons using angle theorems and whatnot, only to realize there were built in methods to do it lol. Its not a GUI program sadly, but I’d say it’s usable for when you need to roll some dice but have no internet (and no dice).
Demo url is ready, SUPER happy with my progress so far. I love how clean and minimal it looks, especially with those blur effects omg. Changelogs: Made the window movable, changed the border, added blur and added top panel with date and time. With the code getting progressively harder, It’s like you climb a hill and celebrate, only to realize a mountain lays ahead. Luckily I’m a junior CS student and knowing that decomposition exists gives me hope :).
Devlog #2, Made some more progress today.Added an actual window although not draggable yet, fixed up the formatting a little bit, and had fun reminiscing about my minecraft days while picking out a wallpaper. It’s nice to see it all coming together piece by piece. Feel free to rate the wallpaper in the comments haha.
Started the WebOS mission, got high hopes! Its my first time writing html since 4th grade so there is quite a bit of slipping and stumbling, but I’m picking things up as I go. It is a bit intimidating seeing how slow my progress is, but I’m sure I’ll pick up the pace as time goes on. The screenshot shows my progress so far, most of the time was spent experimenting with different tags and styles. I couldn’t pick something solid yet so I left most of the stuff as is. That’s about it for my first devlog.
