I built LunOS, a cozy and whimsical web-based operating system! It features pixel-art aesthetic, interactive pop-up cards, draggable desktop windows, and a live clock widget.

The most challenging part was getting the window dragging logic in JavaScript to feel smooth while dynamically managing z-index layers so whichever window or widget you click on automatically pops to the front.

I’m super proud of the overall cozy aesthetic and how functional the live clock widget turned out alongside the movable UI elements.

To test it, simply visit the live site, click the taskbar icons to toggle windows, and click and drag any window or the clock widget around the screen!

Added a live clock widget in LunOS!
I styled the clock widget with a cozy translucent background, added a soft blur effect and pixel-inspired typography to match and add onto the overall cozy vibes.

Next challenge would making all the widgets draggable across the screen 🚀✨

Made my first ever OS - LunOS
